Mentality

Our mentality is referring to our minds. The part of us that calculates and determines thoughts, emotions, intellect, and how we perceive what our five senses are registering. Our minds are the hub that runs the whole of our existence. The healthier mental state we can achieve, the better we can experience this existence.

What is the mind?

Our minds are what makes us aware of being alive. Our brain is the physical organ that is responsible for our mental functions. The mind is the totality of cognitive functions associated with reasoning and awareness.

Mental health

Mental health is the state of our mental fitness. it includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. We learn as we grow, yet we far too often don't connect the dots between an unhealthy mindset and the distress that accompanies it. IE: why am i stressed all the time? Why am i anxious? Why am i constantly depressed? These are some of the symptoms of an unhealthy mental state, and it would be wise to investigate the why behind the what in our respective lives, so we can take necessary actions to alleviate the issues.

Managing our mental health

The more we learn to manage, and practice healthy thoughts, feelings, and actions, the better we can relate to others, handle stress, and make healthy choices. Our mental health is vital to how we see this life as we live it. Be patient with yourself as we explore what works and what doesn't for our individual mental health, and don't be too stubborn to accept advice and help from a professional or your primary care provider if needed.
